What began in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, in 2009 with just one employee has grown into a skilled team of over 50 people dedicated to quality, sustainability, and social impact. LECO Earth is not just manufacturing bags—it is building livelihoods and leading a global eco bag movement from Eluru to the world.
Rooted in Eluru’s jute legacy
Eluru has been a jute hub for more than 100 years, and LECO Earth proudly carries this legacy forward. Started in 2009, LECO Earth is one of the first dedicated jute bag manufacturing units in Eluru and among the earliest in Andhra Pradesh, helping pioneer eco-friendly bag production in the state.
Women empowerment and skill building
A majority of the LECO Earth team consists of trained women from local communities who enhance their skills while supporting their families. Every bag represents women’s empowerment, as artisans turn their craftsmanship into confidence, income, and long-term economic stability.
Social responsibility in every bag
LECO Earth uses natural, biodegradable materials such as jute and cotton to reduce plastic use and promote sustainable living. Fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for artisans are central to the company’s social responsibility values.
