The Three Key DimensionsWhen specifying a size or measuring an existing bag, we use three primary measurements: Width, Height, and Gusset. Always measure your bag while it is laid flat on a smooth surface.

Measuring the Width (Horizontal)

The width determines how wide your items can be.

a. How to do it: Lay the bag flat. Place your measuring tape at the left-hand corner and stretch it straight across to the right-hand corner.

b. Pro Tip: Measure from seam to seam to get the most accurate internal capacity.2.

Measuring the Height (Vertical)

The height determines how tall your items can be without peeking out of the top.

a. How to do it: Measure from the very bottom fold of the bag up to the top opening (the "mouth") of the bag.

b. Note: Do not include the handles in this measurement. Handles are always measured separately as "Handle Drop" or "Total Handle Length."
